Dolphin Research Center Celebrates Educators with Complimentary Admission

[GRASSY KEY, FL] On May 2, 2026, Dolphin Research Center is proud to honor the dedication and impact of educators with a special Educators Appreciation Day.

On this day, all educators are invited to enjoy free general admission, along with up to four guests, as a token of gratitude for their vital role in shaping future generations. Guests will have the opportunity to experience Dolphin Research Center’s work in marine mammal care, conservation, research, and education while enjoying a memorable day in the Florida Keys.

General admission provides guests the freedom to explore the facility at their own pace while observing a variety of specialized animal sessions throughout the day. From high-flying dolphin behaviors and engaging fun facts to medical training demonstrations and ongoing research, visitors gain a deeper understanding of marine mammals and the care they receive.

Educators and their guests can also connect directly with Dolphin Research Center’s animal care and education staff, who are available throughout the day to answer questions and share insights about the Center’s animal family and ocean conservation efforts.

Between sessions, guests can enjoy educational presentations and walk along the scenic causeway, cool off at the Family Sprayground, or relax in the peaceful Veterans Garden—an area originally created by Vietnam Veterans and dedicated to all who have served or are actively serving during times of war.

Additional amenities include on-site concessions for snacks and refreshments, ensuring guests don’t miss a moment of dolphin and sea lion fun. Dolphin Research Center is also pet-friendly, welcoming leashed or harnessed animals, and offers free parking, with limited bus parking available.

Dolphin Research Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with last admission at 4:00 p.m. on the day of the event.

“At Dolphin Research Center, education is at the heart of everything we do,” said Courtney Coburn, Administrative Director of Education. “We are thrilled to welcome educators and their families for a day of connection, inspiration, and appreciation.”

Educators can reserve their complimentary tickets in advance by visiting dolphins.org and using the booking code LEARN26.
