Grassy Key, FL – On Thursday, November 3rd, Dolphin Research Center welcomed its newest family member when 15 year old female bottlenose dolphin Cayo gave birth. Staff has confirmed that the calf is a girl. Mom and baby are swimming strong and doing well so far. DRC is taking name suggestions from the public but does not plan to name the newborn for a while while they wait to see how her “dolphinality” develops.
