Dolphin Research Center now offers its Curriculum materials as a FREE download for teachers! There are currently two options:

Discovering Dolphins: Exploring the Sea with Dolphins

  • These lesson plans are aligned to the Common Core Standards, Current Florida Standards, Next Generation Science Standards and Ocean Literacy Standards
  • More activities are designed to be STEAM or STEM oriented
  • To keep up with ever-changing and evolving standards, continue to check back as we update lesson plans to meet the most current state and national standards
  • Will have content for all grade levels

Discovering Dolphins: Dolphins and their Environment

Formerly offered in CD format for grades K-8. It includes:

  • More than 40 lesson plans aligned with Florida’s Next Generation State Standards, National Science Education Standards, and Ocean Literacy Standards
  • These lesson plans are NOT aligned to the Common Core Standards, Florida Standards for English Language Arts, Florida Standards for Mathematics, or Next Generation Sunshine State Standards for Science. These lesson plans contain relevant information and activities, and are a great resource for supplemental information and activities
