Programs for Teachers
Dolphin Research Center offers many ways, including swimming with dolphins, where you can interact with dolphins and sea lions.
Adult DolphinLab
Each program features hands-on interactive activities and observation time with the dolphins, and an interesting, informative mix of dock-side demonstrations, discussions, workshops, and more.
Teen DolphinLab
Students meet DRC’s resident dolphin and sea lion population, learning to respect and identify each animal as an individual through observation of their unique behavioral and physical characteristics.
DolphinCamp
A five-day program for older children and younger teens that introduces campers to the amazing world of dolphins!
Locals’ Dolphin Day Camp
Locals’ Dolphin DayCamp is a fun-filled, active five-day program that introduces children ages 8-10, who are full-time year round Florida Keys residents, to the amazing world of dolphins.
Professional Animal Trainer Certificate Program
Students who complete the PAT program will have expanded their knowledge and skills to successfully assess animal behavior, adeptly provide appropriate husbandry care, and apply positive training techniques for the well-being and enrichment of the animals in their care.
Dolphin Academy
One mission of Dolphin Research Center is to teach our relationship-based training style to those interested in the animal training field. No previous animal training is required, but it is helpful.
