Grassy Key…On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12 Dolphin Research Center (DRC) will be offering free general admission for moms from 9am – 4:30pm. Last admission 3:30pm. With general admission, guests can enjoy a self-guided tour around the facility located at 58901 Overseas Hwy, Grassy Key, FL 33050. While walking through the grounds and boardwalks, guests can view our aviary, tortoise habitat, and front and back lagoons where our dolphin family lives. Educational narrations are presented by animal trainers and education staff throughout the day. Food and beverages can be purchased in the facility at Anchor’s Cafe. Additional interactive dolphin programs can be purchased separately.
Founded in 1984, Dolphin Research Center is home to a family of bottlenose dolphins and California sea lions.The nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization is located at 58901 (mile marker 59) Overseas Highway, Grassy Key, Florida. In addition to being a highly respected education and research facility, DRC is the Licensed Manatee Rescue Team for the Florida Keys and is an accredited member of the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums and the International Marine Animal Trainers Association.
