As Dolphin Research Center’s Director of Research Training & Data Collection, Emily’s primary responsibility is to coordinate all aspects of research studies which focus on cognition, behavior, and communication with DRC’s dolphins and sea lions, and field studies of wild dolphins.
Emily is a research trainer, working with DRC’s dolphins on both research projects and public programs, and has successfully integrated research experiences for guests into interactive programs, such as Researcher Experience and Dolphin Explorers.
Emily has been with DRC since 2002, and is an author or co-author of multiple publications about DRC's research, in journals such as Soundings, The International Journal of Comparative Cognition, Animal Cognition, Marine Mammal Science, Behavioral Processes, and The Journal of Comparative Psychology.
