Celebrate Life's Special Moments at DRC!
Over the years, many marriage proposals and weddings have taken place at Dolphin Research Center. We offer different options for these special moments.
Proposals
We require that proposals take place during an Exclusive Private Dolphin Encounter so that we can focus on the couple. This also ensures that nothing is taken away from the experience of other guests doing a Dolphin Encounter at the same dock. Additional general admission prices apply for any guests who join you to observe from land.
If you wish, we can even arrange for the dolphin to deliver the ring, contained in a waterproof container that floats, of course. Just let us know ahead of your visit!
If you prefer to propose out of the water, there are several beautiful, scenic locations around the facility such as by the waterfall, in the Veterans' Garden, or a few feet from the Gulf of Mexico at the end of the causeway.

With both indoor and outdoor space, we can create a special day for you no matter what the Florida Keys weather brings. Call or email us today with your vision for your special day!
Indoor Room Space
Two separate rooms each hold up to 70 attendees in Theater Style or up to 44 people for dinner. Other arrangements are also possible, of course. The airy outside porch is perfect for smaller breakouts or for serving a meal "al fresco".
For technical needs, a full-screen monitor and wi-fi capability are available in each room.
Interactive Programs and other Activities
